I run a lot of blogs that get thousands of spam comments each and every day. That is why each and every one of us should activate this plugin. Even with this plugin, you will see a lot of spam comments. But, the plugin will block out a lot of the random ones.

You do not want to fill your web site with unwanted spam comments. These comments will hurt the long term goal of your web site. When you start approving your comments, be sure that you only approve the trusted ones. Be sure to filter out the ones that look like spam.
